3 chinese american quatrain (facing my origins//season of the queering)

in this 4th decade of living       facing my origins

a remembrance of six yrs old       white friend and i

in a bathroom stall       in an embrace hunchin'

the start of my story       a facet made known 

.

he   was   white   i   was   black   yes

somehow   together   the   moment   ripe   yes

teacher´s   name   Mrs   Earl   yes

a   country   school   in   the   2nd   grade   yes

.

spring afternoon       life-changing discovery 

2nd grade     Black boy     unfolding bits of self 


can´t recall       anything more than that 

season     of the queering     of this son of Pam
